In March 2024, the Cochini moshav Mesilat Zion hosted the launch of “The Blue Butterfly of Cochin”, a children’s book detailing the ancient Indian Cochini community’s mass immigration to Israel in the 1950s. The event featured author Ariana Misrachi and illustrator Siona Benjamin, who shared insights into the story’s creation. To celebrate this rich heritage, the launch was beautifully complemented by the sharing of childhood stories and the performance of traditional Cochini songs.
