In June 2024, the “Indian Jewish Voices in Global Literature” event was held at Beit HaSofer (the Writer’s House) in Tel Aviv. It was a moment of great pride, showcasing the deep literary traditions and cultural legacy of the Bene Israel, Cochini, and Baghdadi communities. The program featured readings of Nissim Ezekiel’s poetry and narrations from Esther David’s books, beautifully complemented by dramatized dance performances that brought Indian Jewish history to life through storytelling.
