The book “Baghdadi Synagogues in India”, written by Dr. Limor Katan, was launched successfully on December 2, 2025 at the Babylonian Jewish Heritage Center in Or Yehuda.

The event was a celebration of history, architecture, and culture. We were honored by the presence of the Indian Ambassador to Israel Mr. J.P. Singh, and Mr. Kobi Shoshani, former Consul General for Western India and Ms. Sayali Narayan Mhetre, Head of the Indian Cultural Center.

Many of the IJHC members also participated in and enjoyed this event. 

The Program included fascinating academic lectures by Prof. Shalom Sabar on Ketuba and Dr. Limor Katan, an Indian dance performance by dancer Dinoor Aharonson, a tour of the museum, and a taste of Indian and Iraqi food.
